Description

Blankin Equipment, a Division of Chesapeake Systems, LLC, currently has an opening for an HVAC Technician. We are manufacturer’s representative for the HVAC and Plumbing market. Blankin Equipment has been in business in the Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware since 1908.

Job Summary

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.


To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Essential Functions

  1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.

  2. Boiler start up with combustion analysis, laser alignment of pumps to motors, VFD start and control trouble shooting

  3. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.

  4. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.

  5. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.

  6. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

  7. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.

  8. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

  9. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  10. Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.

  11. Assisting with customers' queries.

Other Responsibilities or Functions

  1. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and Hydronics.

  2. Working knowledge of boiler systems, along with setting combustion and doing combustion analysis.

  3. Working knowledge of pump and motor alignment, VFD and controls.

  4. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.

  5. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  6. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
