Prince George's Regional Medical Center (PGRMC) Project

Chesapeake Systems began working on this project with Leach Wallace during the design process in 2015. This project is a brand new hospital owned by the University of Maryland Medical Regional System (UMMC). The central utility plant (CUP) is separate from the actual hospital and was pre-fabricated and shipped in multiple modules for a faster time schedule onsite.

We worked to use Evapco, Puroflux, Aquanomix, and Spirotherm as basis of design (BOD). The cooling towers shipped directly to the job site in 2019, but the other equipment shipped to the packaged plant provider prior to shipping the Central Utility Plant (CUP) to the job site. We performed startup on the equipment earlier this year in February – March 2020.The contractor plans to turn over the CUP to the owner in August 2020.
